Andropogon brachystachyus Chapm.

Habitat:  Diverse wet sites

Florida status:  Native

Recognition:  Tall grass, 2 m or more.  Ligule 0.2-0.5 mm.  Peduncles exposed, long, and curving. Spikelets 4.4-4.6 mm long.  Ultimate inflorescence axes < 2.1 cm long.  The only Andropogon with long curving peduncles.
