Florida status: Introduced weed. Far more common in more northern regions but reported in our area (Yamato Scrub).

Recognition: To about 1 m tall. Leaf blades to 15 mm wide, scabrous abaxially. Panicle tapered to the apex. Bristle 1. Spikelets 2-2.3 mm long.
