Recognition: Inflorescence outline about the size of a a crayon.  Spikelets extremely lopsided.  Leaf blades < 5 mm long; inflorescence < 9 cm long and < 7 mm wide; spikelets usually <2.8 mm long; palea shorter than lemma; lower glume 1.1-1.9 mm
