Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench

Natural range:  An important forage crop worldwide

Habitat:  Disturbed land

Florida status:  Not native, escaped from cultivation

Recognition:  Large plant (50-500+ cm) without rhizomes.  Spikelets are paired.  Pedicellate spikelets 2-6 mm, unawned.  Sessile spikelets 3-9 mm with a 5-30 mm awn.
