which this distribution is natural is unclear
Habitat: Moist disturbed sites.
Florida status: Native? (probably not)
Recognition: Large grass with more or less
decumbent stems rooting at the notes. Leaves with a slight blue
tint, abundantly and conspicuously soft-pilose with erect hairs,
including the sheaths and both leaf surfaces, the leaf margins ciliate.
