Dichanthelium chamaelonche (Trin.) Freckman & LeLong

Natural range:   Southeastern U.S.

Taxonomic note:  Treated by some authors a synonym of D. ensifolium.

Habitat:  Moist sandy sites

Recognition:  If regarded as separate species, similar to D. ensifolium, but spikelets shorter [usually 1.1-1.2(1.5) vs.1.2-1.5 mm].  Leaf margins with white cartilaginous borders.
