Dichanthelium scabriusculum (Elliott) Gould & Clark

Natural range:  Eastern and southern U.S.

Habitat:  Wet sites, shores, often shaded

Florida status:  Native, distribution mostly in N. Florida.  Marginal and rare in our area.

Recognition:  Very large for this genus, 0.5-1.5 m tall.  Glandular tissue below the nodes.  Leaves usually > 1 cm wide.  Ligule membranous.  Spikelets 2.2-2.9 mm.
