Distribution:  Southern U.S.

Synonym: Dichromena latifolia Baldwin

Habitat:  Low moist areas, marshes

Recognition:   Bracts white.  Rhynchospora colorata is similar but usually has 6 or fewer bracts vs. 6 or more bracts, these > 5 mm wide in R. latifolia (vs. narrower in R. colorata).

Florida status:   Native, abundant
